Boeing''s stock (NYSE:BA) edged lower in Tuesday trading despite encouraging safety inspection results for its 787 Dreamliner fleet in India. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation found zero defects in 24 examined aircraft, though nine remain unchecked due to maintenance or operational status.

Investors appeared more concerned with lingering uncertainties than the positive findings, reflecting the aerospace sector''s heightened sensitivity to safety concerns. The inspections will continue for two weeks across all GE-powered 787-8 and 787-9 models operated by Air India.
